Pelican Beach Villas
Pelican Beach Villas is a simple retreat near the town of Marsh Harbour featuring 6 Two bedroom villas, 1 One bedroom efficiency unit, and a 3 bedroom ocean front home all for rent. This is the perfect place for those who want to take advantage of Marsh Harbour and the nearby cays and play by their own rules.
Tour the island and its landmarks at your own pace; rent a boat from one of the boat rental companies close by and go on a fishing, diving, or snorkeling excursion with your friends or family. Then, come back to your private Pelican Beach Villas and cook up your catch of the day in your own kitchen. Frolick on our private onsite beach or have a drink or snack at the Jib Room Restaurant across the road from the property.
Guests at Pelican Beach Villas have a private cottage the same as a second home with the usual amenities. There is a beach onsite, snorkeling reef adjacent, and marina nearby. Pelican Beach Villas are located across the street from Marsh Harbour Marina with Jib Room Restaurant offering cookouts on Wednesday and Saturday nights.
Ada Deveaux has been the manager here for 15 years and she greets and assists the guests who return because they feel like the Villas are their second home. They always want to stay in the same cottage they had the previous year.
Each charming villa is on the waterfront and includes a living room and kitchen in the front half of the cottage and 2 bedrooms, each with private bath in the back of the cottage. One bedroom has a queen or king bed; the other bedroom has 2 twin beds. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room.
The one bedroom efficiency has a queen-size bed.
Pelican Beach Villas was built by Samuel G. Oliver in 1991, and originally consisted of 4 cottages. The other two were added later. It was destroyed by Hurricane in 1999, and rebuilt in 2000. It was destroyed again in 2004, and rebuilt in 2005. Therefore there have been two major renovations.
The property is on a peninsula on the Sea of Abaco. The sea is in the front and there is a pond with canal on the back. The property is surrounded by water on 3 sides. Come enjoy this quaint little place in one of the most popular islands in the Out Islands of the Bahamas.
