“We are extremely excited to start this service as it augers well with our plans for future expansion in the Islands of the Bahamas,” said Christopher Behnam, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Yellow Air Taxi. “We also understand the special bond between Bimini and South Florida and are pleased to be in a position to strengthen it further within the tourism industry.”
Bimini is well known as the fishing capital of the world and is a major draw for big game fishermen as well as international sea lovers. Bimini has also attracted multi-million dollar environmentally-sensitive developers, adding to the attractiveness and desirability of the destination.
“Yellow Air Taxi grasps the concept that reliable air service is the very basis upon which incremental business is delivered, commented Nancy Williams, director of sales and marketing of Bimini Bay Resort and Marina in Bimini. “That is the primary reason we will welcome this service and cooperate fully as partners, not only with Bimini Bay Resort but with the entire island.”
Yellow Air Taxi operates the bright yellow Cessna 402c’s which offer an upbeat alternative for scheduled travel and convenient charter services for both passengers and cargo throughout South Florida and The Islands of the Bahamas. In business since February 2003, Yellow Air Taxi understands the need for consistent airlift, offering a reputation for safe, on-time, reliable and friendly service. Their planes are certified both by the Civil Aviation Department of The Bahamas for service to all The Islands of The Bahamas and by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a scheduled passenger commuter carrier.
