Sammy T's Beach Resort
Sammy T’s is an intimate beach resort with tastefully furnished private villas, nestled amid beautiful tropical gardens in Bennett's Harbour, Cat Island.
The resort has a private beach within its cove, for guests who love watersports, snorkeling, sailing, fishing or just sunning.
Dining at Sapodilla Restaurant/Bar & Grill, or on the verandah or poolside is delightful.
Sammy T’s has a gaming area with pool table, darts, and board games. Every room has Air conditioning, DVD, and ceiling fans. Fitness center (Bowflex) also available on site.
Because Sammy T’s Beach Resort is a small, secluded resort, its staff caters to the needs of all of its guests, and that customer service is one of the reasons so many guests return year after year for a relaxing Caribbean vacation on the Out Islands of The Bahamas.
Located on two acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, right on the beach, Sammy T’s provides seven villas, all with ocean views of Bennett Harbor in Cat Island, Bahamas. Owner Sammy Thurston operates his dream resort not only as a business, but as his home. Opening the intimate, private resort on The Bahamas was a lifelong dream for Mr. Thurston, who wanted to return to his family’s ancestral birthplace.
Sammy T’s puts out the welcome mat for all of its guests, and provides activities and amenities for couples celebrating a beach wedding, families looking for a relaxing Caribbean vacation and those who want a relaxing, secluded retreat. Cat Island is a place of total relaxation. There’s only one road on the island, no traffic, no stoplights and certainly no crowds. This tight-knit community watches out for one another – and the visiting guests – providing a safe, homey island in a natural, tropical setting.
The private beach on Sammy T’s resort provides about 400 feet of sand and ocean front. But, the resort is just minutes from several more pristine, white sand beaches, perfect for sunset strolls, swimming and sunbathing. Other must-see attractions on Cat Island include the popular blue holes and remote caves, Mount Alvernia, the highest point in The Bahamas, the old slave plantations such as the "Deveaux Plantation” and Alligator Creek, home of turtles and stingrays.
