Although the main reason to visit is for relaxation, you may wish to tour the island and visit a few caves rumored to still hold buried treasure or try your hand at deep-sea fishing or scuba diving. The staff at Shanna’s Cove Resort is happy to assist you in reserving activities. Shanna’s Cove offers diving for everyone from beginners to professionals; inclusive of reef diving and steep face diving. Rental cars are available if you’d like to explore the islands and visit the local spots.
You can walk for miles on the white, pink sand beach of Shannas Cove or take the path to MAN-O-WAR the northern most point of Cat Island and explore deserted beaches on the Atlantic side.
Shannas Bay is great for swimming, sailing and snorkeling. A Hobie Cat, kayaking and canoeing are available for guests. Our certified scuba diving center is fully equipped with a Compressor, Tanks,BC, Regulator and a 22 foot Catamaran-power boat with dive spots only 10 – 25 minutes away. Beautiful DROP OFF´S , wrecks and shallow dives are waiting for you.
We also offer guided tours into the caves on Cat Island. Equipped with a hard hat and torches you will be enter a world of stalagtites and stalagmites.
Arrangements can be made for island tours , bonefishing in the Creeks and deep sea fishing.
