Cottages are perched on rocks literally overhanging the Exuma Sound, where the water laps along the shore only feet below. Staniel Cay Yacht Club includes nine cottages, three two-level suites, five one-bedroom cottages and a large cottage.
Every suite and cottage includes modern, tropical décor, with private balconies. The waterfront and water-view suites (Ocean Blue, and Key Lime and Periwinkle) have second-level master bedrooms with either a queen bed or two twin beds, full bath and private waterfront balcony. A spiral staircase connects to the living room downstairs with an elegant daybed and trundle along with a second full bath and lower waterfront balcony. Periwinkle is nestled among tropical foliage and has incredible sunset and water views.
The five waterfront cottages (Pink, Blue, Orange, Lavender and Yellow) include one bedroom with a queen or two twin beds, full bath and private balcony overhanging the ocean, and all cottages face west for beautiful sunset views.
The largest cottage (Coral) is located underneath a giant shade tree close to the water. Appointed with a master bedroom (with one queen or two twin beds), master bath, as well as two guest bedrooms (one with a twin bed, the other has four twin beds that accommodate seven adults). A beautifully finished living room provides a great common area with French doors that open onto the front deck under the tree. A private back deck provides another retreat. It is deal for larger families or groups up to seven.
All accommodations have air conditioning, but there are no TVs or phones. You will find hairdryers, coffee makers and refrigerators in each room, while TV, phones, fax and Wi-Fi are available in the clubhouse.
The Yacht Club restaurant’s renowned Bahamian-American cuisine and island bar (named as one of Jimmy Buffett's "10 Great Places for a Waterside Drink") is a highlight for guests. It is a unique and casual atmosphere with superb food. On a given evening in the clubhouse, hotel guests, visiting yachtsmen, Staniel locals, celebrities, neighboring cay residents, and private pilots all come together to share food, cocktails, experiences and lively conversations.
With fresh produce, vegetables and meats flown in from the US, the Yacht Club’s restaurant boasts much more than just fabulous seafood. Try the conch fritters and homemade island bread to melt-in-your-mouth desserts like its specialty Staniel Cay Lime Pie. As with all of Staniel Cay Yacht Club, the dress is always casual, but feel free to get all dressed up if you like. Staniel Cay just asks that you be comfortable.
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. For those planning an excursion or picnic, take along a boxed lunch. All meals are served Bahamian style, and that means they begin with the ringing of the dinner bell.
The bar is a friendly, casual place where you’ll sip an island cocktail and find a great spot to relax at the sunset deck or play a game of pool.
Staniel Cay Yacht Club also has a gift shop and a full-service marina with deep water dockage, fuel, electricity, water and trash service.
All guests get to soothe their body, mind and soul with small-island charm. The people are friendly and the pace is your own. You can do as much or as little as you like. Not many places get named as one of Jimmy Buffett's "10 Great Places for a Waterside Drink." You’ll find Staniel Cay Yacht Club on that list. Guests return because they fall in love with the resort, as well as the natural beauty, the people and the casual atmosphere that makes guests feel like they are "part of the family.”
