Unspoiled Places
Day 3. South Andros Island. The Out Islands.
So, I expected these stunning, flawless sunsets. I expected beautiful beaches. I expected all the colors and unspoiled places that make these islands so extraordinary. But I have to admit, I never expected to feel like this. The sum magnificence of nature is truly greater than its parts, and I have been moved by this place.
The nature in the islands has changed the nature in me, I suppose.
Even from our little bungalow – even as I write – I can see unimaginable beauty stretching out for miles. And I can see Laurie drifting off to sleep beside me, adding to the loveliness of the picture. Truly, the beauty in nature coaxes us to see the beauty in each other. I love this change in my mindset. It’s like I’m becoming apart of this island. For 10 days, at least, I am a native.
